Chinese Employer Fires Employee Over Mistreatment of Mother

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Cui Peijun, the founder of Henan Mining Crane Co. Ltd, recently terminated an employee for failing to invite his mother to his wedding. The employer, known for his generous annual bonuses, discovered the incident after noticing the employee’s mother waiting outside the factory during the ceremony. When questioned, the employee admitted he was embarrassed by his mother’s appearance.

Cui Peijun, who lost his own father at a young age, expressed strong disapproval of the employee’s lack of filial piety. He stated that individuals who do not respect their parents lack the fundamental character required to be part of his company. Following the dismissal, the company reportedly offered the mother a position within the firm. The incident was shared by Cui during a summer internship program event for employees' children, which hosted over 331 students.
