Sawa+ — Legal information

Sawa+ Community Rules

These rules apply to every Sawa+ member, whether you are here to meet people, to share skills or to build projects. They are written simply, with examples, so everyone knows what is expected and what leads to a report or a sanction.

  1. Be respectful, always

Treat every member with respect, even when you disagree or are turned down.

    Forbidden example:

insulting someone because they did not reply, declined your application or did not choose you for a project.

  2. No hate, no discrimination

Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic or other discriminatory remarks are forbidden, including as a "joke" or in a project description.

    Forbidden example:

a project that excludes applicants because of their nationality, religion or gender without a lawful reason.

  3. One profile, a real identity, real skills

Create only one profile and use your own photos, information and work.

    Forbidden example:

presenting someone else's portfolio as yours, inventing experience, or creating a second account after a suspension.

  4. Sawa+ is not a dating service

Sawa+ is for friendship, activities, cultural exchange, skills and projects.

    Forbidden example:

sending romantic or sexual advances, or using a project or a skills request as a pretext to approach someone.

  5. No sexual content

Never send a sexual photo, message or link.

    Forbidden example:

an intimate photo in a message, or a suggestive profile photo.

  6. Protecting minors: zero tolerance

Sawa+ is for adults only. Any profile suspected of belonging to a minor, or any attempt to approach a minor, must be reported immediately.

    Forbidden example:

continuing to chat with someone who says or suggests they are under 18.

  7. No money between members, no scams

Never ask for or send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards or bank details.

    Forbidden example:

asking for a "registration fee" to join a project, offering an "investment", or asking for financial help for an "emergency".

  8. Honest projects and fair collaborations

Describe your project honestly: what it is, what you expect, and whether it is paid, shared or voluntary.

    Forbidden example:

hiding that a "project" is a paid job offer, multi-level marketing, or work that would require a work permit the participants do not have.

  9. No recruitment schemes, spam or advertising

Sawa+ is not a job board or an advertising channel.

    Forbidden example:

copy-pasting the same offer to dozens of members, promoting a product, or redirecting members to a paid group.

  10. No paid sexual services or exploitation

Offering, soliciting or advertising paid sexual services, escorting or monetised "sugar dating" is strictly forbidden, as is any attempt to recruit, coerce or exploit a person, including for forced labour. Such cases are reported to the relevant authorities.

  11. No drugs or illegal activity

Do not offer, seek or advertise illegal substances or any other illegal activity.

    Forbidden example:

a project or a profile that mentions the availability of substances.

  12. Respect privacy and confidentiality

Never share another member's personal information, conversation or unpublished project details without their consent.

    Forbidden example:

posting a screenshot of a private conversation, or reusing a project idea shared with you in confidence.

  13. No harassment or stalking

Stop contacting a member who no longer replies, declined your application or blocked you.

    Forbidden example:

creating a new profile to contact someone again after being blocked.

  14. No threats or violence

Any threat, incitement to violence or intimidation results in immediate suspension.

    Forbidden example:

threatening someone after a disagreement about a project.

  15. How we enforce these rules

Every report is reviewed by our moderation team. Depending on severity, possible outcomes are: a warning, content removal, a skills card or project taken offline, temporary suspension of visibility, or permanent suspension. Serious violations (minors, exploitation, threats) are also reported to the relevant authorities where the law allows it.

Sawa+ — Safety

Sawa+ Safety Guide

Sawa+ helps you connect with other members, but your safety stays in your hands once an exchange moves off the platform. Follow these rules whether you meet someone for a coffee, hire a skill or join a project.

  1. Stay on the platform first

Keep the conversation in Sawa+ messaging for as long as possible before moving to another app or a phone number. It gives you time to get to know the person and keeps our report and block tools within reach.

  2. Never send money

Never transfer money, cryptocurrency or gift cards, or give access to your accounts, to someone met on Sawa+, however urgent or convincing the story. A request for an upfront "fee" to join a project or get an assignment is a classic scam.

  3. Protect your documents and data

Do not share your passport, ID card, home address or bank details by message. For a collaboration, share only what the work requires, and only once you trust the person.

  4. Meet in a public place

For a first meeting (social or professional), choose a busy public place such as a café or a coworking space, ideally in daytime. Avoid private homes and isolated places.

  5. Tell someone you trust

Before a meeting, tell a friend where you are going, with whom and when you expect to be back, and agree on a check-in message. Arrange your own transport so you can leave at any time.

  6. Put collaborations in writing

Before starting work, agree in writing on the scope, deadlines, payment, ownership of the work and confidentiality. SawaLife is not a party to the agreement and does not handle payments: prefer traceable payment methods and milestone payments.

  7. Check what the law requires

Working in Thailand may require a work permit or a registered business, depending on your situation and the work. Check the rules before accepting or offering paid work; SawaLife does not verify it for you.

  8. Trust your instincts

Inconsistent stories, pressure to move fast, a refusal to video call, a job that sounds too good to be true or inappropriate requests are warning signs. You can end any conversation, meeting or collaboration at any time, without justification.

  9. Report any dangerous behaviour

Report threats, blackmail, money requests, sexual content, fake offers, or any suspicion of a minor or of exploitation. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first (191 police, 1155 Tourist Police), then report to SawaLife. Scams can also be shared with others on Scam watch.
