Thai Airways to Suspend Royal Orchid Plus System for Five Days
Thai Airways has announced a temporary shutdown of its Royal Orchid Plus (ROP) system for scheduled upgrades, affecting all member services from September 14 to September 18, 2026.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Thai Airways Public Company Limited has notified members of its Royal Orchid Plus (ROP) loyalty program regarding a scheduled system maintenance period. The airline stated that the temporary closure is necessary to upgrade and enhance the capabilities of the ROP service platform.
The system will be unavailable across all channels starting from September 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM, until September 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM (Thailand Standard Time). During this five-day window, members will be unable to access any services related to their ROP accounts.
For travelers and residents who are members of the program, this outage means that activities such as mileage redemption, account management, or status inquiries cannot be performed during this time. The airline has advised members to plan any necessary transactions in advance to avoid potential disruptions.
Thai Airways noted that if the system upgrades are completed ahead of schedule, they will notify members immediately. For further inquiries, members are directed to contact the airline via email at ropsvc@thaiairways.com. It remains to be confirmed whether the system will indeed resume operations by the stated deadline or if any further delays might occur.
