CBRE Thailand Highlights Impact of Real Estate Stimulus Measures
New government measures, including 100% LTV and reduced transfer fees, are expected to boost Thailand's property market through mid-2027.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, CBRE Thailand has identified key government stimulus measures as vital drivers for the property sector during the second half of 2026. Managing Director Rungrat Veeraparkkaroon stated that the extension of the 100% Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio, combined with a reduction in property transfer and mortgage registration fees to 0.01%, will remain in effect until June 30, 2027.
These measures apply to both new and second-hand homes and condominiums priced up to 7 million baht for Thai nationals. For residents and potential investors, this initiative is designed to lower initial purchasing costs and improve access to credit. CBRE suggests that these incentives will assist developers in clearing existing inventory, thereby improving liquidity and market confidence during a period of economic recovery.
For those living in or considering property investment in Thailand, these policies represent a significant effort to lower the barrier to entry for homeownership. While the measures are intended to stabilize the market and support developers, the long-term impact on overall housing supply and price trends remains to be seen. Interested parties should note that these benefits are specifically targeted at Thai nationals and properties within the specified price bracket. Further updates on market performance will likely follow as these incentives continue to influence buyer behavior throughout the remainder of the year.
