Ananda Yoga & Detox Center is a yoga and detox retreat centre on Hin Kong Beach, Koh Phangan (16/3 Moo 6, Surat Thani 84280). Founded in 2006 and run as a small family resort under the direction of Valerie Jeremijenko, in partnership with Yama Yoga Studios, it is registered with Yoga Alliance and says it has guided more than 15,000 detox programmes.
The centre offers three main experiences. Its supervised fasting detox programme combines a pre-fast consultation, daily support and supervision, daily colemas, detox shakes, herbs and fresh juices, with optional add-ons. Its all-inclusive yoga retreats offer up to six classes a day (Ashtanga, Mysore, dynamic Vinyasa, yoga basics, Yin and restorative, Kundalini, sound healing), daily meditation and pranayama, three meals a day at the beachfront restaurant, a daily one-hour Thai massage and access to the facilities. Its Yoga Alliance-accredited teacher trainings include a 200-hour Ashtanga-based Vinyasa course and 50-hour Kundalini, Yin Yoga, Breathwork and Aerial Yoga trainings, plus a 30-hour Ashtanga intensive. Drop-in classes and workshops are also open to visitors.
On site: a 150 m² main yoga studio, a 70 m² sky shala with ocean views, a Detox Bar open 7:00 to 21:00, a herbal steam sauna, an ice bath and a chlorine-free salt-water pool, with free Wi-Fi. Dorm beds, garden rooms and elevated or sea-view bungalows are available to participants in the programmes only. The centre does not offer airport or pier pick-up; taxis wait at the Koh Phangan pier and know “Ananda” on Hin Kong Beach.
