Central Retail Property Launches New Lifestyle Brands to Enhance Shopping Experience

Khaosod Online Thailand One source

Central Retail Property is shifting its strategy to focus on experiential retail, introducing two new brands, 'Ploen' and 'Riva', to adapt to changing consumer behaviors.

Central Retail Property, a subsidiary of Central Retail, has announced a strategic shift in its shopping center operations to better align with modern consumer habits. According to CEO Lertvit Pumipitak, today's shoppers prioritize lifestyle experiences, convenience, and leisure over traditional product-focused shopping. With consumers increasingly using mobile devices to compare products and services online, the company aims to transform its malls into comprehensive lifestyle destinations rather than mere retail spaces.

Under the '6 Destination Plus One Integrated Experience' concept, the company is integrating food, fashion, home technology, wellness, children's services, and entertainment into its properties. This strategy includes the launch of two new brands, 'Ploen' and 'Riva', which are designed to revitalize the Robinson department store portfolio. By hosting more festivals and interactive activities, Central Retail hopes to provide compelling reasons for customers to visit their centers in person.

For residents and travelers, this shift suggests that Central malls will increasingly feature more diverse leisure and service-oriented offerings. While the company has confirmed the introduction of these new brands and the broader strategic pivot, specific details regarding the exact locations and opening timelines for the first 'Ploen' and 'Riva' outlets remain to be confirmed.
