Thailand Adjusts Oil Fund Rates for Diesel and B20

Matichon Online One source

The Oil Fuel Fund Office has announced new subsidy rates for diesel and B20 fuel, effective November 4, 2026.

According to a report by Matichon Online, the Oil Fuel Fund Committee (OFFC) has officially set new subsidy rates for diesel and B20 fuel, which took effect on November 4, 2026. Under the new measures, the fund will provide a subsidy of 3.49 baht per liter for standard diesel and 5.49 baht per liter for B20 fuel.

For residents and travelers in Thailand, these adjustments are significant as they directly influence fuel prices at the pump. By utilizing the Oil Fuel Fund to subsidize these specific fuel types, the government aims to manage domestic energy costs and mitigate the impact of global oil price volatility on the local economy. These subsidies are a key tool in the government's strategy to maintain price stability for transportation and logistics, which indirectly affects the cost of goods and services across the country.

While these rates are currently in effect, it remains to be confirmed how long these specific subsidy levels will be maintained. The OFFC frequently reviews and adjusts these rates based on international market conditions and the overall financial health of the Oil Fuel Fund. Residents and motorists are advised to monitor local news outlets or official government announcements for any future changes to fuel pricing policies that may occur as market conditions evolve.
