Thai AirAsia Launches New Perks for Senior Travelers
Thai AirAsia has introduced a suite of special services for passengers aged 60 and older on domestic flights to enhance travel convenience.
Thai AirAsia has announced a new initiative aimed at improving the travel experience for passengers aged 60 and older on all domestic routes. According to Khaosod Online, eligible seniors can now access dedicated check-in lanes, priority baggage claim, and complimentary adjacent seating, subject to standard seat availability. These benefits also extend to one accompanying traveler.
To utilize these services, passengers must present their national identification card at the check-in counter. At Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), a specific service point has been designated at counter 10J in the domestic terminal. Thansita Akrarittipirom, Commercial Director of Thai AirAsia, stated that the airline has been conducting specialized staff training to better assist senior passengers, particularly as the year-end peak travel season approaches.
For travelers and residents, this development is significant as it simplifies the airport experience during busy periods. By providing dedicated support, the airline aims to reduce wait times and physical strain for older passengers and their families. While these services are currently active for domestic travel, passengers should note that the availability of adjacent seating is dependent on the specific flight's capacity. Travelers are encouraged to confirm the availability of these perks with ground staff upon arrival at the airport to ensure a smooth check-in process.
