According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on August 16, 2026, a civil servant experienced a significant travel disruption while attempting to fly from Trang Airport to Don Mueang Airport. The passenger had booked round-trip tickets on August 10, 2026, including seat selection and pre-ordered meals.
Upon arriving at the airport for the 14:55 flight, the passenger encountered issues during the check-in process. While the passenger briefly left the counter to retrieve forgotten documentation, airline staff informed them that the flight was overbooked. The airline attributed the situation to a system error, leaving the passenger unable to board the aircraft. Consequently, the traveler was forced to purchase a new ticket costing nearly 4,000 baht to reach their destination.
This incident highlights potential risks for travelers regarding airline booking systems and the reliability of confirmed reservations.
