Windfield French International School Chiang Mai is the French school of Chiang Mai, at 288 Charoen Rat Road. It follows the official French national education programme from Petite Section to CM2 (ages 2 to about 12) within the AEFE pathway, complemented by the British Cambridge curriculum. Teaching is bilingual French–English, in small multicultural classes bringing together students from nine countries, with a pedagogy built on inquiry-based learning, play and hands-on activities.
According to the school, three-quarters of its French teachers hold the CRPE or CAPES teaching credentials. A partnership with the Alliance Française provides language-immersion support for students who do not yet speak French and prepares them for the DELF Prim. For well-being, the campus has a nurse, counselling and learning support, along with the Phare programme. Families can also count on school uniforms, extracurricular activities (sports, arts, cultural clubs), a food service and visa assistance. Enrolment is done through an online application form, and school calendars are published as PDFs on the school’s website. The school is open Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30.
