Noom Sound Studio is a sound-healing and handpan studio on Koh Samui, run by sound therapist and musician Can. Sessions take place on the Noom Terrace in the Lamai / Maret area, an open terrace with a wide view over the treetops and the sea, where handpan, Tibetan singing bowls and a large gong are played together as one continuous sound journey rather than one instrument after another.
You can join a group sound journey, or book a private sound journey for couples, small and larger groups in a villa, on the beach or at the studio. Typical effects described by guests are deep relaxation, a reset of the nervous system, stress relief and emotional grounding. Noom Sound Studio also teaches the handpan: one-to-one or small-group lessons for complete beginners (no musical background needed), including a three-day “from zero to playing” intensive and a handpan course developed with Shantika Academy.
Guests describe a warm welcome, a patient teacher and one of the best views on the island. Sessions are by booking.
