Chinese Woman Survives 18-Story Fall After Domestic Dispute

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a 20-year-old Chinese woman survived a fall from the 18th floor of a building in mid-July. The incident followed a heated argument with her boyfriend, who had allegedly confined her in the room, seizing her identification and mobile phone after she attempted to end their relationship.

During the dispute, the woman jumped from the balcony but survived after her fall was cushioned by a tree and bushes. Her boyfriend reportedly transported her to a hospital and provided an initial 20,000 yuan (approximately 98,000 baht) for medical expenses. Medical professionals confirmed she sustained severe injuries, including trauma to her head, lungs, liver, and spleen, as well as fractures to her pelvis, pubic bone, and both legs. She has undergone two surgeries and is scheduled for a third.
