Wildlife Official Killed in Tiger Attack at Huai Kha Khaeng Sanctuary

On August 5, 2026, Khaosod Online reported a fatal incident involving a government official, Mr. Sakkarin Wichajarn, at the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary. Mr. Sakkarin, who worked in public relations and visitor communications, was discovered deceased after colleagues noticed his absence from duty.

According to reports, colleagues found bloodstains beneath the hammock where the victim had been sleeping in a multipurpose pavilion. Following a search, his body was located in the forest near a creek, approximately one kilometer from the pavilion. Officials believe a tiger was responsible for the attack, though the specific animal has not yet been identified. Authorities are currently reviewing surveillance footage to track the predator.
