Thai Taekwondo Team Trains in South Korea Ahead of Asian Games
The Thai national taekwondo team is undergoing a two-week intensive training camp in Seoul to prepare for the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the Thai national taekwondo team, covering both sparring and poomsae disciplines, has traveled to Seoul, South Korea, for a specialized training camp. The delegation, led by Thanatit Raktabut, Secretary-General of the Taekwondo Association of Thailand, is participating in this two-week program running from July 22 to August 22, 2026.
This initiative is designed to provide athletes with high-level experience and a change of training environment before they compete in the 20th Asian Games. The event is scheduled to take place in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026. The Thai team has been welcomed by Lee Ja-hyung, President of the Seoul Taekwondo Association, to facilitate their preparation.
