On August 5, 2026, Wanchai Chanporn, Chairman of the Central Committee for Local Government Recruitment (KST), announced that he has signed two official notices regarding the revocation of current local government recruitment lists. This action follows the discovery of widespread irregularities and cheating during the examination process.
According to Khaosod Online, the initiative aims to establish new, verified recruitment lists that exclude individuals found to have engaged in fraudulent activities. The identified cases of misconduct include candidates who failed both Part A and Part B of the exam, as well as those who passed but had their scores artificially inflated. Reports suggest that the number of individuals involved in the cheating scandal may reach 5,925.
