Thai Health Minister Addresses Universal Healthcare Budget Allocation

According to Khaosod Online, the Minister explained that the National Health Security Office (NHSO) received approximately 170 billion baht for 2026, excluding salaries. While 110 billion baht is recorded within the Ministry of Public Health’s hospital system, the remaining funds are managed outside this specific system. Furthermore, over 10 billion baht is channeled through Rajavithi Hospital for drug procurement, with a portion of these funds—estimated at 3 to 4 billion baht—allocated to hospitals outside the Ministry’s direct jurisdiction, such as those under the Ministry of Defense or the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
