Thailand’s Ministry of Digital Economy Accelerates Anti-Scam Measures

According to a report by Thai Post on August 4, 2026, the Thai Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) has implemented new ministerial regulations aimed at intensifying the crackdown on online scammers. This initiative follows directives from Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Minister of Digital Economy and Society Chaiyamon Chidchob, who have prioritized the prevention and suppression of cybercrime.

As part of these accelerated efforts, the Ministry has confirmed that it has already successfully blocked more than 880,000 illicit URLs associated with fraudulent activities.
