Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Chachoengsao

On the evening of August 3, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the Khlong Khut Mai road in Tha Khai, Chachoengsao province. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, local police were notified of the incident at approximately 8:57 p.m.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered the body of a 59-year-old man, identified as Mr. Sumit, who had sustained severe facial and neck injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 38-year-old man, Mr. Korawit, who was involved in the collision while riding with his family, sustained minor leg injuries. Mr. Korawit stated that he observed the deceased’s motorcycle swerving across lanes before it clipped his exhaust pipe, causing the victim to lose control and slide along the road surface.

For residents and travelers in the area, this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining lane discipline and vigilance on rural or secondary roads, where traffic conditions can change rapidly. While the account provided by the surviving party suggests the victim was driving erratically, the official investigation by the Mueang Chachoengsao Police Station is ongoing.
