Prime Minister Confirms Legal Process for NBTC Chair Removal

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has addressed the ongoing process regarding the removal of Dr. Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck from his position as Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Prime Minister emphasized that the submission of the removal request for royal endorsement is being conducted strictly in accordance with established legal procedures.

Mr. Anutin clarified that the Prime Minister does not have the authority to exercise personal discretion in this matter, as the process must adhere to the law. To ensure procedural accuracy, he has tasked Pakorn Nilprapunt with reviewing the steps involved in the removal process.
