Thai Women’s Volleyball Team Faces Logistical Challenges in Vietnam

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the Thai women’s volleyball team, led by head coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai, has arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam, for the first leg of the SEA V Cup 2026. Upon arrival, the team encountered significant logistical issues regarding their accommodation.

Coach Kiattipong noted that while the host nation, Vietnam, is staying in a hotel near the competition venue, the three visiting teams have been placed in hotels requiring a commute of nearly one hour and thirty minutes to reach the training site. The coach expressed concern that this distance exceeds standard regulations, which typically suggest that travel time between accommodation and competition venues should not exceed thirty minutes. The extended travel time has reportedly caused fatigue among the athletes and raised concerns about potential traffic congestion impacting their preparation.

For residents and travelers in Hanoi, this situation highlights the potential for localized traffic disruptions and logistical strain during major sporting events.
