Ten Candidates Vie for Sports Authority of Thailand Governor Position

The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) has officially closed the application window for the position of Governor, which ran from July 15 to July 29, 2026. According to reports from Khaosod Online, the final day of the process saw the submission of an application by Mallika Boonmeetrakul Mahasuk, a politician and former journalist who previously ran for the governorship of Bangkok.

In total, ten candidates have submitted their credentials to lead the organization. While July 29 coincided with the Asahna Bucha public holiday, the SAT facilitated the final submissions via electronic mail to ensure the process remained accessible until the 4:30 PM deadline.
