GULF Reports Strong Q3 Earnings Driven by Power and Digital Growth
Gulf Energy Development reported a 28% increase in Q3 2026 net profit, reaching 9.289 billion baht, bolstered by power sector recovery and AIS performance.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, Gulf Energy Development (GULF) has announced a net profit of 9.289 billion baht for the third quarter of 2026. This figure represents a 28% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. The company attributes this growth primarily to the recovery of its gas-fired and renewable power plant operations. Additionally, GULF benefited from a 16% increase in profit sharing from its investment in AIS, which contributed 4.443 billion baht to the total. The company's digital business segment also turned a profit, supported by the performance of the GSA01 data center. Looking ahead, GULF plans to continue its expansion, with over 600 megawatts of new power plant capacity scheduled for commercial operation by 2027. For residents and investors, these results highlight the company's significant role in Thailand's energy and digital infrastructure sectors. While the current financial performance is strong, the successful execution of the upcoming 600 MW capacity expansion remains a key factor to monitor for future growth. Further details regarding the specific operational timelines for these new projects have yet to be fully confirmed.
