A 33-year-old man died following a collision with an 18-wheeler truck on the Pattaya-Rayong bypass road on October 9, 2026.

On the night of October 9, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the Pattaya-Rayong bypass road in the Pong sub-district of Bang Lamung, Chonburi. According to Khaosod Online, a 33-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Mr. Chainarong, lost his life after his Honda Wave 100 collided with the rear of an 18-wheeler trailer truck.

Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance, but the victim succumbed to severe head injuries despite resuscitation efforts. The driver of the truck, 56-year-old Mr. Prasop, stated that he had been driving with his hazard lights on while hugging the left side of the road after experiencing a tire blowout. He was attempting to navigate the vehicle to a safe location when the collision occurred.
