Severe Flooding Hits Bang Nam Priao as Water Levels Reach 1.5 Meters

Heavy flooding in Chachoengsao province has displaced hundreds of residents as water from Nakhon Nayok flows into the Bang Nam Priao district.

According to a report by Khaosod Online on October 6, 2026, the Bang Nam Priao district in Chachoengsao province is facing critical flooding. The situation has worsened due to an influx of water from Nakhon Nayok province, which has caused water levels in the Khlong Hok Wa area to rise significantly.

Approximately 400 households have been affected by the rising waters. Reports indicate that 60% of the local population has already evacuated to the Wat Sunthon Phichittharam shelter. Residents remaining in the area are primarily those staying in two-story homes or those choosing to guard their property. Access roads to villages in the area are currently submerged under 30 to 40 centimeters of water, rendering them impassable for small vehicles. Near the canal, water levels have reached between 1.00 and 1.50 meters.

For residents and travelers, this situation poses significant mobility challenges and potential risks to infrastructure. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely, and there is a possibility that electricity may be cut in certain areas if water levels continue to rise. Those currently in or planning to travel to the Chachoengsao region should exercise extreme caution, monitor local news for evacuation orders, and avoid flooded roads. It remains to be confirmed how long these water levels will persist and whether further evacuations will be mandated by local authorities.
