Ministry of Education Reports Initial Findings from 'Traffy EDU' Complaint System
Thailand's Ministry of Education has released early data from its new 'Traffy EDU' reporting platform, highlighting concerns over school infrastructure and reports of inappropriate teacher conduct.
On September 21, 2026, Linthiporn Warinwatchararoj, Assistant to the Minister of Education, provided an update on the 'Traffy EDU' system, which was officially launched on August 25, 2026. The platform, designed to protect the rights and safety of students and staff, has received approximately 30 complaints to date.
The most frequent reports concern the physical safety of school environments. Many complaints highlight dilapidated buildings and construction projects that have remained unfinished for over a decade, raising concerns about potential hazards for students and teachers. The Ministry noted that these issues are complicated by contractors abandoning projects, and officials are currently evaluating solutions.
Additionally, the system has recorded four reports regarding sexual harassment. According to the Ministry, these cases did not involve physical assault but rather instances of teachers engaging in inappropriate physical contact with students. The Ministry stated that these four cases have been addressed and resolved.
For residents and families, these reports underscore ongoing efforts to improve school safety standards. While the Ministry is actively processing these complaints, the long-term resolution for structural issues remains under review. Further updates are expected as the Ministry continues to refine its response to these systemic challenges.
