World Bank Unveils 2027–2032 Partnership Framework for Thailand

The World Bank has approved a new Country Partnership Framework for Thailand, focusing on economic growth, private sector development, and infrastructure resilience.

On September 18, 2026, the World Bank Group announced its new Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Thailand, covering the 2027–2032 fiscal years. This strategic roadmap aims to accelerate economic growth and job creation as Thailand strives to transition into a high-income nation.

The framework focuses on two primary pillars: enhancing private sector competitiveness and strengthening national infrastructure, including water management, transportation, energy, and fiscal stability. It also emphasizes disaster preparedness to ensure long-term resilience. This initiative aligns with Thailand’s upcoming 14th National Economic and Social Development Plan (2028–2032) and builds upon discussions held during the 2026 Bangkok Business Summit.

For residents and expatriates, this partnership signals a long-term commitment to structural reforms and potential improvements in public services and infrastructure. The World Bank intends to integrate technical expertise with targeted public financing and private investment to support these goals. While the framework sets a clear strategic direction, specific project timelines and the exact allocation of funds remain to be confirmed as the implementation phase approaches. The initiative reflects a continuation of the 75-year collaboration between the World Bank and Thailand, aiming to foster a more robust and adaptable economy.
