Gastech 2026 Concludes in Bangkok with $16 Billion in Energy Deals
The four-day Gastech 2026 event in Bangkok has concluded, generating $16 billion in global energy agreements and highlighting Thailand's potential as a regional LNG hub.
The Gastech 2026 energy conference, held from September 14 to 17 at the BITEC exhibition center in Bangkok, has officially concluded, exceeding initial expectations. According to Thailand's Minister of Energy, Ekkanat Promphan, the event attracted over 50,000 international participants and facilitated business agreements totaling more than $16 billion USD.
These deals are expected to stimulate the Thai economy, with an estimated 15 billion baht in circulation generated through new construction projects and job creation. A primary focus of the event was positioning Thailand as a strategic Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) hub and a center for green electricity. During the conference, Thai officials held bilateral discussions with representatives from 17 countries, including the United States, Russia, Singapore, Brunei, Oman, and Libya. Key topics included international energy security and strategies to mitigate potential supply disruptions stemming from conflicts near the Strait of Hormuz.
