The Thai Ministry of Interior is intensifying efforts to investigate and clear out over 11,000 companies suspected of acting as illegal foreign nominee entities by the end of September.
According to a report by Thai Post on September 15, 2026, the Thai Ministry of Interior has launched a significant crackdown on businesses suspected of operating as illegal foreign nominee entities. Polpee Suwansuthee, representing the ministry, held discussions with officials Supajee and Ruttapol to coordinate the investigation of more than 11,000 legal entities currently under suspicion.
This initiative aims to eliminate "grey capital" operations, where foreign interests allegedly use Thai nominees to bypass local business ownership regulations.
