The Department of Water Resources has initiated water volume and sediment surveys across Chiang Rai and Phayao provinces.
On September 11, 2026, the Department of Water Resources, through the Office of Water Resources Region 1 and the Hydrology Section 2 in Chiang Rai, announced the commencement of field surveys in the northern provinces of Chiang Rai and Phayao.
