Authorities recovered 144 million baht in cash hidden within his living quarters, along with 290 million baht in bank accounts and 1,066 baht-weight of gold. The former abbot was arrested alongside a close associate, identified as 'Ae,' following allegations of embezzling 92 million baht from the temple. Police investigations indicate that the suspect allegedly diverted temple donations into personal accounts while issuing official temple receipts to donors.
