State Railway of Thailand Rejects CP Group's Conditions for Airport Rail Link Operation
The State Railway of Thailand has declined four conditions proposed by Asia Era One regarding the continued operation of the Airport Rail Link starting October 1.
According to a report by Prachachat Business on September 10, 2026, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) board has officially rejected four conditions set by Asia Era One, a subsidiary of the CP Group, concerning the ongoing operation of the Airport Rail Link.
Anan Phonimdaeng, Governor of the SRT, stated that the board reviewed the results of negotiations regarding the high-speed rail project connecting three airports (Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi, and U-Tapao). The dispute centers on the transition of the Airport Rail Link operations, which are currently managed by the concessionaire. The CP Group had reportedly sought to impose four specific conditions to continue these operations beyond the upcoming October 1 deadline.
