Anti-Violence Network Urges Parliament to Fast-Track Domestic Protection Bill

On September 7, 2026, over 30 members of the Thailand Gender-Based Violence Prevention Network gathered at the Parliament building in Bangkok. The coalition is specifically calling on coalition government parties, particularly the Bhumjaithai Party, to support the bill so it can proceed to a special committee stage. They argue that including civil society representatives in the committee is essential for creating an effective legal framework to address domestic abuse.
