Thai Official Clarifies Stance on Border Committee Negotiations

On September 4, 2026, Air Chief Marshal Prapas Sonjaidee, Director of the Thai-Cambodian Situation Information Center (JIC), addressed concerns regarding the progress of the Joint Boundary Committee (JBC). He stated that Thailand is not using security concerns as a pretext to delay negotiations.
