According to a report by Thai Post on August 25, 2026, the NACC is currently tracing a flow of approximately 9 billion baht suspected to be linked to fraudulent exam practices.
As of now, investigators have not found evidence connecting these funds to political figures. The highest-ranking individuals identified in the probe thus far are two former department directors. The NACC stated that they are reviewing records from the Department of Local Administration dating back to 2021 and emphasized that the investigation is comprehensive, with no intention to shield any parties involved.
For residents and expatriates, this investigation highlights ongoing efforts to address systemic integrity issues within Thai public administration. While the probe is focused on internal bureaucratic processes, it underscores the government's current scrutiny of public sector recruitment.
