Na Thon Subdistrict Chief Denies Corruption Allegations in Local Recruitment

The Chief of Na Thon Subdistrict in That Phanom District, Nakhon Phanom, has responded to allegations of corruption regarding local government recruitment. The controversy began when the 'STRONG Anti-Corruption Club of Isan' social media page accused the Chief of facilitating the hiring of his children and daughters-in-law within the local administration since 2021. The allegations suggest that his daughter, son, and eldest daughter-in-law were all appointed to positions at the Na Thon Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) simultaneously. Furthermore, the group claimed that in 2025, his youngest daughter-in-law was appointed as an internal auditor at the Na Ngam SAO, but her recruitment was flagged due to a suspicious 53-point score adjustment circulating online.

In response, the Subdistrict Chief asserted that his family members secured their positions through their own merit and ability. He expressed confusion regarding the reported score adjustment for his daughter-in-law, stating that such an error should not be attributed to his family. He has indicated his intention to pursue legal action against the social media page for defamation.
