Thai Authorities Seize Large E-Cigarette Cache in Bangkok
Minister Supamas Kessaba has reaffirmed the strict illegality of e-cigarettes in Thailand following a major police raid in the Khlong Thom area.
On August 14, 2026, the Thailand Government Public Relations Department reported a significant enforcement action against the sale of electronic cigarettes. Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Supamas Kessaba, confirmed that the government maintains a strict stance on the illegality of e-cigarettes within the country.
During a coordinated operation in the Khlong Thom district of Bangkok, police successfully dismantled a major distribution hub. The raid resulted in the seizure of approximately 20,000 e-cigarette units, with an estimated market value of 8 million baht. Two individuals were apprehended in connection with the illicit inventory.
