Deloitte Report: Thai Businesses Rapidly Adopting AI, Yet Struggling with Strategic Integration

According to the 'Thailand Digital Transformation Survey 2026 – Enterprise AI Focus' released by Deloitte Thailand on August 13, 2026, the nation’s corporate sector is accelerating its digital evolution. The study indicates that the proportion of organizations classified as 'Becoming Digital' has risen to 42%, while AI adoption has climbed to 61%, up from 47% the previous year.
Despite this rapid uptake, the report highlights significant hurdles. Many businesses remain trapped in using AI primarily for cost-cutting rather than as a core growth strategy. Deloitte notes that only 19% of surveyed organizations have successfully scaled AI across multiple departments, and a mere 9% have managed to generate new revenue streams through AI implementation. Key barriers identified include a lack of specialized skills, data management issues, and rigid organizational structures.
