ISOC Official Petitions Parliament Over Alleged Corruption in Phuket Solar Project
A civil servant from the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) has petitioned the House Committee on Legal Affairs, alleging unfair treatment and corruption within a 2014-2019 solar energy project in Phuket.
On August 13, 2026, Rangsiman Rome, Chairman of the House Committee on Legal Affairs, Justice, and Human Rights, received a formal complaint from Nasiphas Chaiwimonsit, an official with the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC). The petitioner alleges that she has been unfairly targeted as a scapegoat in an ongoing investigation regarding corruption in a solar energy promotion project conducted by ISOC in Phuket between 2014 and 2019.
According to the complaint reported by Khaosod Online, the solar project faced technical failures, specifically regarding batteries that were unable to store energy. Nasiphas claims that an investigation initiated in 2021 remains unresolved and that she is being held solely responsible, while senior officials remain unaffected. Furthermore, she denied allegations linking her to a 1-billion-baht interest in the Yanui Beach area, asserting that she never visited the site or engaged in the alleged illicit activities.
