Thailand Content Market 2026 Generates Nearly 10 Billion Baht in Trade Deals

The inaugural Thailand Content Market 2026 has concluded with trade negotiations reaching 9.79 billion baht, driven by strong international demand for Thai media.

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) recently announced the successful conclusion of the first 'Thailand Content Market 2026.' The event facilitated 1,706 business negotiations, resulting in a total trade value of 9,792.4 million baht.

According to Prachachat Business, the event highlighted a surge in global interest for Thai creative products, specifically films, animation, BL/GL series, games, and various content services. China emerged as the leading buyer, followed by significant participation from Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and the United States.

For residents and travelers, this growth signals a strengthening of Thailand’s creative economy, which may lead to increased visibility of Thai culture in global media and potentially more local production activities. As the industry expands, it may influence the availability of local entertainment and digital services within the country.

While the event successfully closed these initial deals, the long-term impact on the domestic creative sector and the specific timelines for the distribution of these projects remain to be confirmed. Observers will be watching to see how these international partnerships translate into tangible content releases for global audiences.
