Thai Authorities Launch Phase 6 of Crackdown on Foreign Nominee Networks in Hua Hin
Police and government agencies have raided illegal pool villas in Hua Hin, targeting 33 companies suspected of acting as nominees for foreign nationals.
On August 10, 2026, Thai authorities launched the sixth phase of a nationwide operation aimed at dismantling foreign nominee networks. Led by Deputy National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Samran Nuanma and other senior officials, a task force of over 200 personnel—including representatives from the Department of Business Development and the Department of Lands—conducted raids on illegal pool villa operations in the Hua Hin district of Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
The operation specifically targeted 33 companies suspected of illegally holding land on behalf of foreign nationals. Authorities estimate the value of the assets involved in these suspected nominee arrangements to be approximately 300 million baht.
