National Sports Development Fund Inspects Training Camps for Asian Games Athletes
Representatives from the National Sports Development Fund visited training facilities in Krabi and Trang to assess the readiness of Thai national athletes preparing for the 20th Asian Games and Asian Para Games in Japan.
According to Khaosod Online Thailand, General Dr. Suphamanas Pharaphop, an executive of the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF), recently conducted site visits in Southern Thailand to evaluate the preparations of national athletes for the upcoming 20th Asian Games and Asian Para Games in Japan.
In Krabi, the delegation met with the Kabaddi Association of Thailand, led by President Somprat Phonchu. General Suphamanas inspected the athletes' living quarters and kitchen facilities to ensure that nutrition, hygiene, and overall welfare standards are being met alongside their rigorous training schedules. The tour continued to the Thailand National Sports University, Trang Campus, to visit the national blind athletics team. Representatives from the Blind Sports Association of Thailand showcased the training infrastructure, including air-conditioned accommodations, massage rooms for muscle recovery, and dedicated dining facilities.
For residents and visitors, these visits highlight the significant logistical efforts behind Thailand’s international sporting campaigns. While the NSDF is actively monitoring the quality of support provided to these athletes, the specific performance targets and final roster selections for the games in Japan remain to be confirmed. These inspections serve as a proactive measure to ensure that national representatives are adequately supported during their final preparation phases.
