Chinese Mukbang Star Rescued During Mount Emei Weight-Loss Hike
A 33-year-old Chinese mukbang influencer weighing 171.5 kg was rescued by emergency teams after collapsing during a weight-loss hiking attempt on Mount Emei.
According to Khaosod Online Thailand, a 33-year-old Chinese mukbang influencer known as Liangzi (Li Zhanliang) required emergency rescue while attempting to hike Mount Emei in Sichuan, China. Liangzi, who weighs approximately 171.5 kilograms and stands 165 centimeters tall, had documented his journey as part of a personal weight-loss initiative.
Footage from the climb showed the influencer struggling, with companions using bamboo poles to assist him. Upon reaching an altitude of 2,800 meters—approximately one kilometer from his goal—Liangzi experienced severe exhaustion and respiratory distress before losing consciousness. Local rescue teams were dispatched to the scene and successfully transported him down the mountain on a stretcher. Following the incident, Liangzi posted a video thanking his supporters and acknowledging that he had not exercised for a significant period prior to the attempt.
