60-Year-Old Delivery Rider Arrested for Alleged Assault of Minor

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division (ATPD) arrested a 60-year-old man, identified as Somkid, on August 8, 2026. The arrest took place in Samut Prakan province following an arrest warrant issued by the Bangkok South Criminal Court on August 3, 2026.

Authorities allege that on July 31, the suspect approached a 17-year-old girl with special needs who was waiting for her mother outside a club in the Silom area. The suspect reportedly gained the victim's trust by offering to buy her a meal and claiming he could teach her traditional Thai massage. It is alleged that he subsequently took the victim to a hotel, where he committed sexual assault and threatened her to ensure her silence.
