A similar threat occurred before the Round of 16 match against Egypt, involving a bomb scare at the stadium that was later confirmed as a false alarm after K-9 units found no evidence of explosives.
Cristiano Ronaldo has also faced security challenges. FIFA staff reported to police that a suspicious individual inquired about the Portuguese star's accommodation. Additionally, a man managed to enter the team hotel and attempted to approach Ronaldo in an elevator, later claiming he only intended to take a selfie.
