Thai Cyclists Shine at 2026 Asian BMX Championships

According to Khaosod Online Thailand, Thai cyclists delivered a strong performance at the 2026 Asian BMX Racing Championships held in Nilai, Malaysia, on August 8. Phuttaphum Nakpaen claimed the gold medal in the Men’s Under-23 category, leading the race from start to finish. His brother, Phumjaitai Nakpaen, added to the success by securing a silver medal in the Junior Men’s category.

General Decha Hemkrasri, President of the Cycling Association of Thailand, was present in Malaysia to support the national team. While the Nakpaen brothers celebrated their podium finishes, fellow Thai cyclist Komet Sukprasert faced a setback after being nudged by a Filipino competitor, ultimately finishing in fifth place.
