Investigation Underway After Shooting Incident in Phitsanulok

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, local police in Phitsanulok are investigating a violent incident that occurred on the evening of August 7, 2026. At approximately 9:00 PM, a man identified as 43-year-old Mr. Poramet was shot while sitting in his home located in the Hua Ro sub-district.

CCTV footage captured a suspect, described as being between 65 and 70 years old, arriving at the scene on a black Honda Wave motorcycle. The individual, wearing a black shirt, a denim jacket, and carrying a brown backpack, allegedly fired eight shots at the victim. Mr. Poramet sustained three gunshot wounds to his side. The attack occurred in the presence of the victim's wife and his seven-year-old daughter, both of whom were seen fleeing the scene during the incident.

For residents and visitors, this event highlights a serious act of targeted violence in a residential area. While the motive remains under investigation, local authorities have suggested that the suspect may be a former police officer.
