Major retail conglomerates are investing heavily in the Hua Mak-Ramkhamhaeng area, aiming to establish a new Central Business District (CBD) in eastern Bangkok.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Hua Mak-Ramkhamhaeng corridor is undergoing a significant transformation as major retail players, including C.P. Group, Central Group, and The Mall Group, initiate large-scale development projects. This surge in investment is strategically aligned with the expansion of Bangkok’s mass transit infrastructure, specifically the Orange and Yellow MRT lines.
Key developments include a partnership between C.P. Group and Osotspa to lease 45 rai of land for the creation of a new 'Happy Life Style Community' landmark. Simultaneously, The Mall Group is reportedly planning to redevelop its existing branch property in the area. These projects are expected to catalyze the growth of luxury real estate and commercial hubs, effectively positioning the district as the new Central Business District (CBD) for eastern Bangkok.
