TSD Data Breach Impacts 200,000 Investors

Thailand Securities Depository (TSD) reports unauthorized access to personal data affecting approximately 200,000 users.

On July 25, 2026, the Thailand Securities Depository (TSD) detected an unauthorized access incident involving its TSD Investor Portal. According to a report by Khaosod Online, TSD management and the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) confirmed on July 28 that the breach compromised the personal information of roughly 200,000 individuals out of a total user base of over 5 million.

The exposed data includes names, dates of birth, national ID numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, securities company names, trading account numbers, and bank account details. Notably, TSD stated that there is no evidence of leaks regarding actual securities holdings, transaction history, or login credentials such as usernames and passwords.

For residents and expatriates in Thailand, this incident highlights the importance of monitoring personal financial accounts for suspicious activity. While TSD has publicly apologized and pledged to provide remedies for those affected, the full scope of the remediation process remains to be confirmed. Investors are advised to remain vigilant regarding potential phishing attempts or identity theft risks following this exposure. Further updates from TSD are expected as the investigation by the CCIB continues.
