Search Operation Concludes Following Tragic Drowning in Bang Pakong River
A 29-year-old man has been recovered from the Bang Pakong River in Chachoengsao after a six-hour search operation.
On August 6, 2026, rescue teams in Chachoengsao province concluded a six-hour search operation after recovering the body of a 29-year-old man from the Bang Pakong River. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the incident began around 11:30 a.m. when the individual fell into the river near the Barami Sothon Bridge in Bang Phra sub-district. Despite immediate efforts by bystanders and rescue volunteers to assist, the man could not be saved.
The recovery mission involved a coordinated effort by the Chachoengsao rescue unit, which utilized three motorboats, underwater sonar scanning equipment, and drone surveillance to locate the victim at a depth of nine meters. Police Lieutenant Chonmanat Riyapa of the Mueang Chachoengsao Police Station and forensic doctors from Phutthasothon Hospital arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection following the recovery.
