Thai Ministry of Interior Orders Removal of 5,925 Fraudulent Exam Candidates
The Central Committee on Local Government Personnel has ordered the removal of 5,925 individuals linked to examination fraud, setting an August 31 deadline for local administrative organizations to finalize the dismissals.
According to a report by Prachachat Business on August 6, 2026, the Central Committee on Local Government Personnel has upheld a resolution to disqualify 5,925 candidates involved in examination irregularities. Worasit Liangprasert, Deputy Minister of Interior and Chairman of the committee, confirmed that a new list of successful candidates will be released shortly.
Local administrative organizations (LAOs) across Thailand have been instructed to complete the formal removal of these individuals from their positions by August 31, 2026. The provincial committees have also been notified to revoke the appointments of those implicated in the fraud.
